MTD's Quarrying Unit, Dimensi Timal Sdn Bhd (DTSB) signed a 50-year concession agreement with the Kelantan Darul Naim state government for the exclusive rights to undertake quarrying activities in Jedok, Tanah Merah, Kelantan. DTSB launched its operation in September 2005 with the debut of it "Jeli Blunero" series of dimensional granite.

The concession area of approximately 268 acres is one kilometre south of the East-West Highway and has an estimated reserve of 600 million cubic metres (cu m), or 1.5 billion metric tonnes of monolithic mother rock.

DTSB officially launched its operation in September 2005 with the debut of its ‘Jeli Blunero’ series of dimensional granite at the International Exposition of Dimension Stone and Machinery held in Verona, Italy.

"JELI BLUNERO" is an excellent export-quality grade granite, homogenous that has a characteristic of coarse-grained texture with bluish-black tonality. This reasonably priced granite has a distinct texture and consistent in colour and pattern which is comparable to the Italy's "Serizzo Granite". It does not have any defects such as black spots or veins except for very rare occurrence of black patch.

Jeli Blunero granite is a densed semi-metamorphic igneous rock. This granite has the ability to take a good gloss polish. It is very suitable to be used both for internal and external floor and wall usage.

Since 2006, Jeli Blunero has been used in a number of projects locally. Recently, DTSB has exported this quality granite to China, Thailand and Italy.
